What is a Sponsored Post?
A sponsored post is a post which we receive compensation for from a brand. German Press Law demands the clear separation of editorial content and advertising. In order to provide you with as much transparency as possible, paid articles on this site are labeled as “Sponsored Post” above the title and with “Advertisement” in the teaser. This allows you to choose whether you want to read the sponsored post before even clicking on it.
What are Affiliate Links?
If a post on this site contains affiliate links, we will receive a small commission, should you buy a product through this link. For you as a visitor or buyer nothing changes and there will be no additional fee. Articles containing affiliate links are are labeled with “This post contains affiliate links” above the title and with “Contains Affiliate Links” in the teaser.
What does it mean for me?
Since authenticity and quality are very important to us, we only publish articles that fit in with ValerieHusemann.de and offer value to our readers. Therefore, you will never find purely promotional texts or press releases on ValerieHusemann.de, and that’s a good thing! ?
Why are so many posts marked as Sponsored Post or labelled as advertisement?
Maybe you have already seen on Instagram that there is a wave of warnings going around and the Berlin Higher Regional Court has decided that any blogger activity that includes a brand name must be labelled as advertising. In order to protect ourselves from further legal issues, we must unfortunately mark all post, which could be associated with a brand or company, as advertisements or sponsored post. Of course, we hope that the Berlin Higher Regional Court will reconsider this decision sometime – but as long as this is not the case, we are forced to act as mentioned above.
