Vana Belle Koh Samui – The Luxury Collection

The Vana Belle is part of The Luxury Collection and is located at the peaceful Chaweng Noi Beach, same as the Sheraton Samui. The airport is just a 15-minutes drive away, what makes the arrival very pleasant. The Vana Belle has been honored by many magazines and travel platforms and is considered the number one luxury resort in Koh Samui. Why the stay at the Vana Belle was our personal highlight during our Thailand tour? I’ll tell you now!

Our arrival was super relaxing and pleasant. Especially the jasmine-flower hand wash ceremony at the entry pavilion was quite an experience. A very special way to welcome your guest to your beautiful hotel. Vana Belle means “beautiful forest”, which matches the environment pretty well, as you can see on the pictures.

The marvelous and unique open lounge of the hotel offers a gorgeous vista of the Gulf of Siam and the beautiful beach. Small fountains and water features at the entrance, provide a nice holiday mood. Lovely details turn the check-in area into a delightful place to hang out. Elephant statues and artsy decoration elements are to be found in the entire lobby. Lounge chairs and sofas are inviting you to relax and have an ice cold welcome-coconut. After this amazingly warm welcome by the Vana Belle Team, they brought us to our room.

Luxuriöse Suiten mit Infinity Pool

The Vana Belle offers five different types of rooms, which are split over 80 suites. The design of those suites is super modern, a mix of high-end wood elements and creme colored details. The high ceilings let each room seem even bigger and dramatically spacious. This concept goes through all environments of the suits. The bathroom is super spacious and kept entirely open. Another highlight is the jacuzzi with a view of the terrace. Those suites definitely don’t leave anything to be desired!

We stayed at one of the Grand Pool Suites which stretches over 86 square meters, surrounded by relaxing nature and beautiful views. The private infinity pool is the highlight which you can access from the terrace. The outdoor space is smartly surrounded by natural enclosures to keep the privacy of each suite.

The stunning view of the ocean and the hotel’s marvelous gardens is my personal favorite – it is breathtaking! Especially during sunrise!

Food & Restaurants im Vana Belle

The Vana Belle has two restaurants and two pool bars. The Kiree, the resort’s signature restaurant, serves excellent Thai food with a modern twist. The interior design is very elegant, yet cozy. It has both a beautiful terrace with great views of the estate and the sea, and an air conditioned room inside.

The à-la-carte menu leaves absolutely nothing to be desired. The whole team did their best to recommend vegetarian and vegan dishes for us and we loved every single one of them. The Thai Chef de Cusine, Nattanan Deeruang and his team, create exciting, aromatic and exceptionally creative dishes. Also, the weekend brunch and the daily breakfast buffet are outstanding. The authentic style of cooking, the fresh ingredients and the creativity of all dishes make the restaurant Kiree the absolute highlight on Koh Samui, no wonder it is considered one of the best restaurants in Thailand.

The second restaurant of the hotel is called Panali. It offers traditional Italian cuisine. The restaurant has a beautiful wooden architecture, is located in the gorgeous garden of the hotel, overlooking the Chaweng Noi Beach. Especially in the evening, the atmosphere is very cozy and romantic. The vegetarian selection is surprisingly large here. All the dishes we tried were delicious, aromatic and typically Italian. Especially recommended are the pasta dishes and the appetizer plates.

The Signature-Concierge Service of the Vana Belle

The highlight of the services at Vana Belle! This gives you the chance to explore the entire island whenever you want in the most convenient way. Our trip to the temples of Koh Samui was definitely the best of the entire trip. We learned so much about the culture, the people, the temples, and Buddhism and found ourselves in a whole different world. The temples and scenic spots we visited were absolutely stunning! So much history. The hotel had organized that a monk blessed me in the temple. A unique and emotional moment that I will not forget anytime soon. Here again a big thank you to the Vana Belle team and especially to Jonathan Urquhart!

The Vana Spa

Surrounded by trees, plants and flowers, the Vana Spa is an oasis of relaxation, healing and revitalization.

The treatments at the Spa include exotic and traditional elements, which are deeply rooted in the Thai culture. The first-class range of massage therapies, facials and body treatments is very extensive and has something to offer for everyone who wants to be pampered. Roman chose the Swedish massage and I opted for the ‘Inner Peace’ massage. I wasn’t that relaxed in a long time. The treatment room, the massage therapists and the pleasant scent of the spa led up to truly amazing experience at the Vana Spa.

Pool- & Gardens at the Vana Belle

Besides the excellent service, the delicious restaurants, and the Vana Spa, the hotel also offers a great pool and garden landscape. Everything is kept very natural, what I personally love. The garden is very intimate, private and well maintained. The spacious pool area is super nice and offers comfortable daybeds which are very inviting to sunbath in. The pool bar provides refreshing drinks and light snacks. The beach, which is located next to the pool and garden area, offers chairs and umbrellas for the hotel guests.

The Vana Belle is definitely one of the most unique places I have ever visited. Especially the exceptional and warm service will stay in my memory. I can highly recommend this to anyone who longs for an oasis of peace and wellness, without having to give up the cultural experience.
