The magnificent Hotel de Rome is located right in the middle of the beautiful historic center of Berlin, at the Bebelplatz. The famous Gendarmenmarkt, Brandenburg Gate, Friedrichstraße and the Museum Island are within walking distance from the hotel. The Hotel de Rome is one of the best luxury Hotels all over the city and has an impressive history. The building was built in the 19th century and once was a Bank. Even today, you can find some elements from the old Dresdner Bank in the building. The spa for example, is located in the formerly vault of the bank. Today, you can find 800qm of wellness and relaxation here, with a 20-meter swimming pool, sauna, gym room and massage rooms.
What I like most about the Hotel de Rome is the quiet and private atmosphere. Like in the Villa Kennedy, you can’t tell that you’re in a big metropole.
Junior Suite at the Hotel de Rome
Since our room was not ready upon arrival, the nice concierge at the front desk gave us an upgrade. We had the amazing honor to stay in a Junior Suite. As you can see in the pictures, this room has it all! A dressing room, a living room, a very spacious bathroom and a super comfortable bed. I especially love the high windows that let in plenty of light and make the room even brighter.
Rooftop Yoga at the Hotel de Rome with Spirit Yoga
One of the highlights of our stay at the Hotel de Rome was definitely the #beForte Rooftop yoga class with the most stunning view over Berlin. The Rooftop Yoga takes places every Sunday from 9-10am until September. I can highly recommend it to you. Under the guidance of the experienced spirit yoga dream, I have learned some awesome new exercises and breathing techniques. I felt so relaxed after the class! The Rooftop Yoga costs 20€ per person. Towel, yoga mat, healthy snacks and drinks are included.
If you want to spend a relaxing Sunday after your yoga class, you can also book the Yoga Say Spa Package and get pampered at the Rocco Forte Spa!
Perfect Sunday Morning – Breakfast at the Hotel de Rome
After Rooftop Yoga, we went straight to breakfast. The late breakfast offer came to us in quite handy, because you can enjoy breakfast here till 2pm! Luckily, the weather was great so that we could enjoy the delicious breakfast on the beautiful terrace. As one can easily see in the pictures, the dining room is totally inviting and stylish. In addition to fresh juices smoothies, Belgian waffles, pancakes, delicious croissants and other treats, it was above all the service that contributed to the relaxed Sunday morning.
Our stay at the Hotel de Rome was an amazing weekend getaway!
